PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
By
Vic Bhat
What a record turnout for our January event!
We had more than 80 attend the first meeting for 2012!! The Young Professional
month got a rousing start. Matt Baker of Chevron was an eloquent speaker and his
talk on “The Cause and Effect of how schedule Acceleration Affects Productivity”
was well received.
Continuing with the Young Professional months of January & February, our next
speaker will be Rashad Zein, a Senior Consultant, Faithful+Gould, who will talk
on “Examining Challenges in the FEED Phase of Projects”.
Please make sure you confirm your attendance at your earliest. This will ensure we will get a bigger and comfortable room at the HESS club for our events also.
As I said before, active member participation is key to success to any organization and our small group is no exception to this rule. In this regard, I must thank you all for attending our monthly meetings at record numbers. You all proved this for the January session. This is a healthy trend. To make it more interesting, the Board has really worked hard to bring in talented speakers.
We would love to see more of you to attend this meeting with your co-workers and colleagues. Let them be introduced to AACEI-HGCS and see what we can offer.
I encourage our members to check the employment section often. In addition, if your company has openings they wish to post, please feel free to forward them to your AACEI-HGCS Board for posting on our web site.
As the program year continues please check our web site www.aacei-hgcs.org often to see what your section is doing.
See you at the meetings
